Residential Specialists

Two ongoing needs are for residential specialists and nursing professionals. Residential specialists provide loving care to Sunshine residents as part of a team of professionals. We are looking for individuals who are seeking a challenge in an environment that honors the human spirit. Sunshine promotes from within and offers many opportunities for advancement.

Part and full time positions are currently available to work with our residents who are developmentally disabled. You must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license and good driving record. An excellent orientation program and continuing education is offered. Experience with individuals with autism, mental health issues and knowledge of sign language is helpful but not required. No prior experience is necessary.

Wages start at $8.27/hour to $9.59 depending on previous experience and training. A $1 per hour attendance bonus is offered after six months of employment along with a $.75 per hour shift differential for weekend and early morning shifts.  New employees can earn $9.27 to $10.02 with no prior experience.

Nursing Opportunities

Sunshine offers a wonderful opportunity for nurses to share their talents with a special group of people. Nurses who work in the Children’s Home are part of a comprehensive habilitation team whose goal is to allow our residents to experience life as fully as possible. We offer a caring, family atmosphere where teamwork is valued and nurses are seen as valued members of the team.

Positions require some rotating weekend and holiday shifts.  Sunshine frequently has full and part time openings on most shifts and is always accepting resumes for future consideration.  For a listing of current openings, call the human resources department at 419-865-0251. We offer a very competitive wage, an excellent benefit package and wonderful work environment. In addition to the competitive wage, there is a $4 per hour shift differential for second shift positions and a $2 per hour differential for 3rd shift and weekends.
